Short version: Duck Hunters 2 trades a sliver of RTP for a third more ceiling and a much deeper buy menu. Whether that trade suits you depends entirely on how you play. Here is the honest side-by-side.

What the sequel adds
Three things are genuinely new rather than rebalanced. Infectious xWays lets one expansion spread across the grid instead of staying put — the single biggest change to how wins build. Side Hustle bolts optional side bets onto every spin: you can wager on specific outcomes like a symbol being removed or a position hitting the 16,384x cap. And the “Day” buy series (8 → 64 → 512 → 2048 starting multipliers) creates an entry ladder from 10x to 4,000x that the original simply does not have.
What the original still does better
Two things, honestly. The RTP is a touch higher — 96.05% against 96.00% — which over long sessions is a real if small edge. And it is a proven quantity: eighteen months of live play, a №1 spot in Nolimit’s own popularity list, and thousands of documented sessions. The sequel is a spec sheet until 3 September.
Which one should you play?
Play the original if you want the tested version of the formula with slightly better long-run maths, or if you have never touched the series — it is the cheaper education. Choose the sequel if ceiling matters more to you than the last 0.05% of RTP, or if the buy ladder is the attraction. And if you are undecided, the demo on 3 September costs nothing either way — our demo page will carry it the day it opens.
